As Wal-Mart continues to broaden its fast-food offerings, Dunkin' Donuts is the most recent chain to set up shop in the world's largest retailer.
The donut maker plans to open 10 shops inside the stores over the next three months, and hopes to expand beyond 100, according to news reports.
Some of the shops will offer Baskin-Robbins ice cream, owned by Allied Domecq, also the parent of Dunkin' Donuts.
Rival Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is already established in seven Wal-Mart locations.
In other Krispy Kreme news, two shareholder lawsuits have been filed against the company, alleging it misled investors about the direction the business was headed, including the negative impact of the popular low-carb diets, news reports said.
In February, Blimpie International, Inc. entered into an agreement with Wal-Mart to own and operate Blimpie Xpress restaurants in various retail locations across the country.
