Dunkin' Donuts wants to provide a sweet setting for "hole-ly matrimony."

The doughnut maker is searching for two couples--one in the New York area (including Fairfield County, Conn., and Northern New Jersey) and one in the Philadelphia-area (including Southern New Jersey and Delaware)--to celebrate their nuptials at a Dunkin' Donuts store. Couples ready to say "I do" can win an all-expenses-paid wedding at a Dunkin' Donuts shop by sending in pictures and their outrageous (but true) proposal story by the December 15 deadline.

The average wedding can cost more than $30,000, but according to the Dunkin' Donuts "Hole-y Matrimony Survey" about Americans' behaviors and attitudes when it comes to weddings, only 32 percent of respondents characterized most of the weddings they have attended as fun. Of those surveyed, 73 percent said they would want to do something a little bit over the top if they were the ones getting married.

"Couples are constantly looking for new and exciting ways to make their weddings more memorable," said David Beahm, a celebrity wedding planner who will be the wedding-planning consultant to the couples who win the contest. "Dunkin' Donuts is offering two lucky couples a truly wonderful and fun opportunity to both express their love for each other and make their special day truly unforgettable for both them and their guests."

From January 3 to January 14, 2005, photos of three New York-area finalists and three Philadelphia-area finalists and their proposal stories will be posted on www.iwantmyweddingatdunkindonuts.com/.
