Do you need to tip the delivery guy on your Dunkin' Donuts and coffee? That's a question I never thought I'd have to answer. But now thanks to an innovative company, this is something New Yorkers will have to answer for themselves.

SnapFood.com, an online service producing food take-out/delivery in a simple, quick, and fun way, is taking orders from over 150 restaurants citywide, including Dunkin’ Donuts, Baskin-Robbins, and Subway. Since its inception in June 2004, SnapFood.com has been expanding daily, handling orders from thousands of New Yorkers such as office managers catering sandwich platters and couples at home seeking delicious dinners. SnapFood.com caters to New Yorkers’ busy lifestyles making it easy to spoil NYC residents without spoiling their food.

From Chelsea Thai to Energy Kitchen, local restaurants are taking advantage of SnapFood.com’s service by having an online presence featuring online ordering and presentation of their information, menus, and take-out/delivery order service. The key to SnapFood.com’s success is that it enables users to pay online using credit cards, without adding to the cost of ordering take-out. “That grilled chicken fajita that costs $1.75 at Taco Bandito costs $1.75 at the customer’s door,” says Lon F. Binder, the 26-year old President of SnapFood.com. The site enables New Yorkers to get a list of available restaurants by entering the address they want food delivered to. Hungry diners can search by food type--- “we add a new restaurant about once every other day, so if you’re craving Italian food, Snapfood.com will feature menus from over 20 Italian restaurants for you to order from.”

New Yorkers will receive a discount with SnapFood.com by clicking through DunkinDonutsTalk.com to SnapFoods.com.

For more information, visit SnapFood.com and be sure to let them know that DunkinDonutsTalk.com sent you.

Over the years, however, Canadian operations suffered and, eventually, most local outlets closed up shop, never to be heard from again.

Now, Tim Hortons rules the Canadian roost and, with the support of parent company Wendy's, is expanding south of the border as well. TH donuts aren't anywhere near as good as DD's, but its coffee is infinitely better than the tepid swill that DD used to serve up in my burg.

With that said, anyone have any thoughts on how DD intends to re-establish its dominance north of the border? Do any of you care?
