The Donut Book

Sally Levitt Steinberg has written a must read for the American donut lover called: The Donut Book. Her book chronicles the story of the donut down through history - everything ranging from the donut as an idea, the length and logic behind the hole in the middle of donuts and some of the history behind great donut franchies we love to visit. It's humours at times, factual at other and all around a great read. It's short and sweet (pun intended) and delivers what it promises.

If you're looking for a great conversation book for your coffee table, then you've found the right book!

I’m all excited too! I’m a total Dunkin Donuts fanatic. The worst part is I live in Southern California where there are no Dunkin Donuts! AARGH!

The coffee is awesome and so are the donuts. But you know the ambiance is super too–down-to-earth and friendly. For regular folk. They don’t play classical music like Starbucks–that makes it seem like a funeral parlor to me. DD has fun customers chatting away with maybe CNN in the background. Reminds me more of a good cup of coffee at home. Comfortable.

This is a great book - I flipped through it over at my son’s house.
