One day, Dunkin Donuts disappeared

I remember growing up with Dunkin Donuts as a kid in Arlington, Texas. They were the only game in town. Then one day, Dunkin Donuts disappeared. It was probably a gradual process, but I don’t recall seeing them as a young adult. As a grown up–whatever that means–I’m not a big fan of donuts. A decent cup of coffee I can appreciate. When DunkinDonutsTalk founder Scott Lewis told me that he loves Dunkin Donuts coffee, I laughed. I always imagined their coffee like I remember McDonald’s coffee. No good memories there. I had an opportunity to try Dunkin Donuts Original Blend recently. Had a cup today, as a matter of fact. I like it! It’s nice, mellow, good coffee. The fact that it traveled from Chicago to Sunnyvale, California by way of a friend made it all the more enjoyable. Whatever the case, I found it to be really decent coffee. Perhaps I should see what McDonald’s has been up to lately.
