No Dunkin Donuts is just one of many reasons that California is a horrible state. My husband was offered a job her in Orange County and unfortunately we had to stay here for four months and it was a miserable experience. Tomorrow we fly back to good ‘ol NEW JERSEY and DUNKIN DONUTS is the first place we are stopping for a giant cup of coffee and some munchkins.

Yes!! Absolutely!! I am so glad I found this website. I am a transplant from Massachusetts and grew up on Dunkies. I live in southern California. I get the coffee shipped to me on a regular basis, but it’s not the same. I, personally, have called their corporate office 3 times, as well as written a letter to the president of Dunkin Donuts, just after the article about “westward expansion” came out. The response to the letter was from the customer service dept. and was basically, thanks for the compliment and here’s a free pound of coffee. I think the store would have to reflect California culture…but I’m sooo sick of hearing and seeing Starbucks! There is clearly a market here…bring it on!
Please open up more Dunkins in Florida. There are a few in Orlando but none in Leesburg. Also, the employees said they make the muffins only once a day. You need to go up to the Florida Turnpile to get muffins at any time of the day. Thank you.

Its funny how people assume that Dunkin Donuts means that everyone will get fat in that area. I personally LOVE the coffee and don’t eat the donuts too often. The coffee alone is spectacular. Yes, please. Every time I fly home to the East Coast I bring their coffee back with me - but it’s just not the same. We need DD here. California doesn’t know what they are missing - and that is sad. I grew up on DD, and would love to see it expand to the West Coast.

YES!!! I LOVVVE Dunkin Donuts! It’s been my favorite since I was in the Philippines… and I had it all the time when I was in Texas and everytime I visit the East Coast. What a coincidence! I also went to san jose on a tip regarding DD being located there, and when it turned out to be “happy donuts”, my gps led me to another supposed DD down the road, which turned out to just be a house. After much arguing with the residents there, I finally agreed to go leave without a large DD coffee - and I think it is safe to say we were all pretty unhappy with the results of my visit.

I went to college in Boston where I fell in love with Dunkin Donut’s coffee and breakfast sandwiches. I, along with many Boston area and former East Coast graduates now reside in Los Angeles. As a result of the constant influx of east coast transplants, the DD demographic is here and ever-growing. Built in profits. It’s a no-brainer. It will be a smooth transition to the West Coast. And I will gladly be there every morning for a cup of coffee and breakfast sandwich.

Dunkin Donuts should open up a store in the San Diego area immediately. The Red Sox are coming to play the Padres this year, and the demand for tickets to the three game series was so high that they had to have a ticket lottery (a first for the Padres, if I’m not mistaken). Now is the perfect time for DD to enter the market out here. We desperately need an alternative to Starbucks and their “Dark Roast / One Coffee Fits All” philosophy.

I used to make my husband drive to Sacramento (on Howe) on Friday night after work from San Francisco for a cup of coffee. “Its worth the trip!” Then one day it was gone. Please come back. I grew up in CT, and had a medium regular (regular) every day (I think it was a #1 — bagel and cream cheese and a regular coffee); and ever since I moved here to Burbank, I keep hoping to find a Dunkin Donuts nearby. As I recall, there used to be several on the main strip (Glenoaks Blvd.), several years ago, but have all since disappeared. Please bring Dunkin Donuts back to southern California. Oh, how I yearn for that mellow morning blend (coffee), I am growing weary of a strong-brewed coffee ‘with an attitude’. There are a great many east coast transplants here to support Dunkin Donuts. I am very interested in the demand for Dunkin Donuts coffee brought out to the west coast. I am a true New Englandler who is currently graduating from the University of Pacific in Stockton, CA. As a young college student brought up on Dunkin Donuts in Rhode Island, I have to say that there is nothing quite like it. After reading similar repsonses above, and the demand for local californians and past mixed New Englanders is similar, I would be very exctied and thrilled to have a Dunkin Donuts re-open and strive in California.
I’ve continually had to have my Dunkies fix filled every time I head back east. Living in Boston for years with a DD on the first floor of my building I could never imagine not having one. Now that I live in Los Angeles, I have friends bringing me dounuts and pounds of cofee ever time they fly back from a town that has a dunkies… I even drove all the way to Phoenix once to get my fix. I have read everyone’s comments about DD and I only like the one’s who support the chain coming back to CA. I’m originally from the east coast so I grew up on DD. Burt since coming to CA and not having it here is a drag big time. I’ve never done Starbucks nor Krispy Kreme and I don’t intend on starting. I will always be true to DD. Bring back DD to San Diego. There used to be a couple stores and then all of a sudden they turned into Happy Donuts or some garbage like that. Yuk! Then we got Krispy Kremes here but one day they were shut down and closed. Have no idea why either would close. They were always busy when I went there. I’m from NYC and nothing tastes better than a Dunkin Donut. In fact, the old Krispy Kreme building is still sitting there empty in El Cajon on Broadway (East County San Diego). DD could move right in. Someone go for it ok? Did you ever taste a Happy Donut or a Sunny donut? Horrible! Tastes like they fry them in the same oil as the eggrolls. Californians still don’t know what good food tastes like.

I am from New Hampshire and moved here in 2006. I miss my Dunkin Doughnuts, both the pastries and all coffee drinks they offer… I don’t understand why it is such a big deal as to why they won’t come here. I want my Dunkin Doughnuts… there is NO ONE in California who makes good, awesome coffee like Dunkin Doughnuts….NO ONE…. please, please, please, come to California. The East Bay area…. Well, there’s kind of a solution in SoCal. At one point there were Dunkin Donuts in the SoCal area–but when DD pulled out in the late ’90s, they kept the same recipes but named themselves “Boston Donuts”. I went to a “Boston Donut” in La Habra or around there and can confirm the donuts taste exactly the same. The place even smells the same!! I think there are at least a few different “Boston Donuts” locations.
Why there are 3 story Dunkin Donuts in Korea (with Green Tea donuts!!!) but none in California, I’ll never know. They do great business in Korea too!!

Sorry. Peet’s Coffee and Tea is preparing to expand in California. Their coffee is much, much better than Dunkin Donuts. I am very glad people in California have rejected Dunkin Donuts. Their coffee is weak. I like coffee with flavor like Peets and all the wonderful Independent Coffeehouses to be found here. I’m not sure why people on the East Coast think coffee from a donut shop is good.

All the Starbucks and Peets in California do not compete with DD. I just came back from California and visited both-prices are much higher and the taste (oh well) I guess it is what you get used to. My daughter lives in the valley, so I offered to shop for her and her friends for whatever they are missing.
Not only is there a great demand for DD in Cali, but we need some in the mountains! I live in Laramie, WY, but there isn’t even a DD in Denver! Bring ‘em out west!!

i am a jersey girl and love love love my DD in the morning, afternoon or whenever - i am taking my first trip to california in one week and just learned there are no Dunkin donuts in the LA area what a bummer!!! Someone please open up a DD - a million dollars is waiting for you !!!
I’m an east coast girl born and raised who practically has Dunkins’ coffee flowing through her veins. I just moved to San Diego, CA about a month ago and am devastated by the loss of my beloved Dunkin’ Donuts. I hate having to order online and make my own…it’s just not the same! How can Dunkin Donuts’ slogan be “America Runs On Dunkin” when they are no where to be found in some of the most populated cities of the U.S.??? Please, bring Dunkin’s to SD!
P.S.–We all know that Dunkin’ Donuts isn’t the shit for their donuts, it’s all about the beans.

Please bring dunkin donuts to northern California, i moved from massachusetts and now i miss the great coffee and delicious donuts. Sure theres Star Bucks but they suck you basicaly make your own coffee, they just give you it black, not like good old DD please bring it to california preferably, Santa Rosa.
I don’t understand why there are no franchises down here… It’s pretty obvious that this many people actually took the time to locate a forum in which they can voice out thier need for Dunkin Donuts… The commercials make me and my husband mad as well–SO A DUNKIN DONUTS HERE IN THE OC!!!!

I moved to San Diego from Boston, Mass, where the DD is originally from and even though I get the coffee ordered from back East, I miss terribly the Iced Coffee that we used to get every day back home. Especially here that is summer all year around, DD would have tremendous success, especially their flavored Iced Coffee!! I know they are opening new stores in Sacramento, but for us in SoCal, Phoenix is a closer drive than Sacramento! Please let the company know that we need stores in SD and LA area also
We moved to Reno from Chicago and learned there weren’t any DD”s here. Oh my God! I could have died. I couldn’t believe it. I grew up on DD. No I’m not fat! People think fat right away when you mention DD. They are just the best donuts you could ever have. In Chicago they are everywhere you go. We have Krispy Kreme here, they are o.k. too sweet for me. I don’t see the rave on those. When my parents come out to visit from Chi-town they always bring us a taste from home, DD’s!
I wish we had at least one here. Reno is booming now. Who knows maybe we will get one soon. We didn’t have a Krispy Kreme when we first moved here and now we do.
PLEASE BRING Dunkin Donuts to the Bay Area!!!
I was actually contemplating a trip out to Salem, OR or Phoenix just to get another Dunkin Donuts coffee!!!
And brewing it at home is just not the same, I definitely think there is a market in California for Dunkin Donuts, some people don’t want to pay $4.50 (or more!) for a coffee and have it tasted acidic and burnt! Plus many companies don’t make Ice Coffee year round and that is my favorite–nothing says summer than a Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee!
PLEASE, PLEASE plan to expand westward soon or I may have to plan more frequent trips back home to Boston.

I get a Soy Latte at Peet’s Coffee for $2.75 that blows away anything DD has to offer. Where do you people come up with these $4.50 prices? Face it, you just don’t know coffee with flavor - hence, there is no market for DD on the West Coast other than for East Coast transplants that don’t know any better. Go explore the great coffee of the West Coast rather than clinging to watered down coffee from a donut shop.

I came here to LA from the midwest and I didn’t realize how much I miss Dunkin until I had to start going back east for work from time to time. I went to Korea several months ago and they were all over the place, even right across from the hotel I was at. DD in Seoul but not LA, what’s up with that???? Come to LA now!

I just moved to San Francisco from New York City where Dunkin Donuts was on every other corner and then some. I miss Dunkin Donuts, desperately! Please have a heart and bring Dunkin Donuts to San Francisco.
Why would anyone want a Dunkin Donuts on every corner. How boring. That’s everything that is wrong with America - homogenized. In San Francisco, we have coffeehouses that blow away Dunkin Donuts coffee - Cafe Abir, Cafe Trieste, Cafe Greco, The Grind, Beanbag Cafe, Coffee to the People, People’s Cafe, Farley’s, Phils, Blue Bottle Coffee Co., Atlas Cafe, and on and on. Even Peets serves amazing coffee. Yet these East Coast transplants want coffee from a freakin’ donut shop. Absolutely bewildering. Do these people even try and explore? Or can they not handle coffee with bold flavor, instead of weak coffee with cream and sugar dictated to you. Please keep Dunkin Donuts out of San Francisco. I like variety and culture. Thank you.

Californian’s actually think Krispy Kreme is a good donut and Starbucks is the best coffee………………Please dunkin donuts show these Californian’s what a REAL donut and a Real cup of coffee is supposed to be!!!!!!!!!!! its not so much the donuts…or their bagels…its their uniqueness of their coffees and smoothies…their prices are unbelievable and i really dont enjoy starbucks as much as dunkin donuts. DD has good iced coffee…even tho, they now use flavor shots…but when i came back from vacationing in CT , i went to starbucks and ordered a vanilla iced coffee. BIG MISTAKE…i got no milk in it and no taste of vanilla whatsoever. We definitely need a DD in socal!
I totally agree. I live in northern CA and I wish that there was a Dunkin’ Donuts at least within an hour or two of my house because I would definantally make the drive because I love Dunkin’ Donuts. I have never tasted coffee that was even close to tasting as good as theirs. Im obsessed and in love with Dunkin’ donuts. I think that if they brought a Dunkin’ donuts to Sacramento they would do so well with the right advertising. Starbucks would stand no competition against Dunkin’ Donuts. In the right place Dunkin’ Donuts would be a huge hit in Sacramento. It is my dream for Dunkin’ donuts to come near Sacramento.
LAS VEGAS - Anyone know when the first Dunkin Donuts is opening. I even contacted DD Corporate and they don’t know. Stupid girl on the phone! Me and friends want to camp out the night before. I know. I’m a 32-year-old professional woman acting like a 12-year-old. haha. I can’t help it. I love Dunkin!!! Anyone else want to camp out with us, just let me know! Woo-hoo! We’ll be there!
